C-Section
In addition to general wellness care to support your dog or cat through gestation, we can provide Cesarean section (i.e., C-section) procedures to ensure safe neonate delivery. C-sections are important for high-risk pets and required for many brachycephalic or large-headed breeds.
Safety First
Prior to scheduling a C-section, we will evaluate your dog or cat to confirm health, viability of the puppies or kittens, and run pre-anesthetic blood work. Immediately after delivery, the neonates will be assessed for health, stimulated to breathe, and kept warm until mom has fully recovered.
